Making My Blog Popular Again.

Learning about SEM and SEO was a new experience for me. It is all about search strategies and getting more traffic to a specific website. SEM uses paid strategies and SEO uses organic strategies to appear in search.

Although these are different, there are many similarities to these two strategies as well. Both require knowing the audience you are trying to reach. This is crucial to know since you are aiming all of your search engines and links to visit your site. Going off of knowing your audience, both aim to drive more traffic to your site. The more views that your site receives, the more followers and readers you will have. Lastly, both help key words and a certain brand appear in the search engine. It is extremely important that your site can come up when searching.

The article, “How to Sell the Importance of Engagement Over Fan Growth on Social Media,” https://www.forbes.com/sites/joeescobedo/2017/06/12/social-media-engagement/#96a3b432193c was very on brand for me. As a new-time blogger, I am still trying to build up my social media presence to the public. I have to continue to engage with my audience on different platforms of social media.

In the article, it stated that social ads with a friend’s endorsement generate a 55% higher ad recall than non-social ads. People trust the opinion of friends and family more than anyone else. I am hoping I can get some reposts or retweets on my content so it will capture the attention of other viewers.

Another point that this article brings up is engaging with your audience can also help you realize how your content relates to people and how much they enjoy reading your page. You also have to pay attention to your competitor’s engagement. You have to make sure you are matching it or exceeding it to stay relevant.
