As someone who never considered blogging as a main form of media or a means of marketing a product or idea, but after reading some of these articles, they had quickly changed my mind.
Along with changing my mind about blogs, I had also learned how to improve my own. After reading the, “7 Ways to Build Your Brand in the Blogosphere” https://problogger.com/7-ways-to-build-your-brand-in-the-blogosphere/ and it showed me how to really up my blogging game. I learned to engage my readers more and openly ask for feedback. The more readers are engaged, the more I would faithful followers and a good reader retention rate.
I also was educated on blogs with the article that discussed how to use my blog to build my own brand, https://domain.me/key-strategies-for-using-blogging-to-build-personal-brand/ . I have never tried to create my own brand with my blog, just put some information up here for my readers. The main thing that I have to work on is defining my target audience and writing for them.
The most interesting article I have read in a while was listed as a discussion article to read for this post, and it was about Facebook. “CAN MARK ZUCKERBERG FIX FACEBOOK BEFORE IT BREAKS DEMOCRACY?” https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/09/17/can-mark-zuckerberg-fix-facebook-before-it-breaks-democracy
It mentions how Facebook is increasingly growing. It even states that if Facebook was a country, it would be the most populated one. People all over the country use it, upwards of more than two billion users go on at least once a month. The power that Facebook holds to influence the world population all rests in the hands of the creator, Mark Zuckerberg. As shown in the image I attached to this post, Facebook has a huge play in the political candidacy. It is one of the most popular sources of advertising for politics.
